Each year, Pennsylvania requires its vehicle-owning citizens to have their cars inspected for safety and emission purposes. Your vehicle must pass inspection in order for you to continue to legally drive it on Pennsylvania’s Roads.
Safety Inspections are performed on over 11 million Pennsylvania cars annually at hundreds of State Inspection Stations. Worried about where to go to get your car inspected? Worry no more--Andy's Tire & Auto Center now offers PA State Safety and Emissions Inspections to drivers in Smithton, PA, Belle Vernon, PA, West Newton, PA, and the surrounding areas.
During your Vehicle Safety Inspection, Andy's Tire & Auto Center will check the following items:
A Vehicle Emissions Test will also be performed at this time.
If for whatever reason, your vehicle should not pass inspection, one of our trained advisers will be available to answer any questions you may have, explain the problem and how to correct it, and re-inspect your vehicle within 30 Days.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Website: “Your re-inspection will be free, as long as you have it done within 30 days at the same place that conducted the initial inspection. If your car still doesn't pass the inspection, and you can show that you have spent at least $150 on emissions-related repairs, you may be eligible for a one-year waiver. In some cases, you may have to spend more if the repair is the only reasonable way to address the problem, such as replacing a catalytic converter. You must obtain an emissions sticker or a waiver from a certified inspection station and pass a safety inspection before a permanent safety inspection sticker can be applied to your vehicle.”
Andy's Tire & Auto Center will be there to help with all your Vehicle Inspection Needs. For more information, or to schedule your vehicle inspection, Please contact us today.
